SOUTH HACKENSACK, NJ (July 2026): Marine Electric Systems, Inc., a defense electronics and electromechanical manufacturer operating continuously since 1942 and a wholly owned subsidiary of MES Technologies, Inc., has named Kenneth Roman as Senior Electrical Engineer. Roman joins the company to help expand its maintenance, repair, and overhaul business, with a particular focus on power supplies and other electrical components for naval and defense platforms.
Roman brings more than thirty years of electrical and electronic engineering experience across defense and industrial programs. He has designed power and motor control electronics, embedded control systems, and automated test equipment, and he has spent much of his career supporting defense programs at the US Army Picatinny Arsenal and across the electronic warfare and fire control communities. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, along with an active Top Secret clearance.

Roman’s work will center on the repair, rebuild, and reverse engineering of power supplies, power supply assemblies, and electronic units that are no longer available from their original manufacturers. As aging platforms remain in service well beyond the support window of their original electronics, program offices increasingly need a manufacturer that can restore these units to full operational specification rather than redesign the systems around modern replacements. Roman’s background in power and control electronics, embedded systems, and automated test positions him to lead that work and to verify every repaired unit against its original requirement.
